If I am being honest, I once took Ireland for granted. Like most people, I dreamed of visiting international destinations far away from where I grew up. However, that all changed when, at 23 I ended up in a not-so-pretty accident while skiing in Italy.

At the time, most people my age were partying, going on friend's holidays, and enjoying life in their early 20's. And…I was bedbound, faced with the challenge of learning to walk again. Which, believe me, was far from fun!

Nonetheless, it taught me a very valuable lesson—life is short, and you never truly know what’s around the corner. And with my new relaiation, I started to chase my dreams.

A few years previous, I had created a travel blog called Live Adventure Travel—essentially an online diary that nobody read. But as I found myself stuck at home, that simple blog became a passion project, slowly growing into the community that I have created today. However, at the time, I had no idea just how much it would change my life.

When I was given the all-clear start walking again, the places I once took for granted became my escape. I can’t quite describe the feeling travelling Ireland gave me—it was something special. And I wanted to share that feeling with as many people as possible. My little Instagram page started to grow, unknowingly laying the foundation for what would become one of the most trusted resources for anyone planning a trip to Ireland.

And now, here we are, six years later. It only felt right to create something bigger. And so, Ireland Travel Planning was born—a trusted Ireland travel resource with a thriving community, helping visitors explore Ireland like a local.
